75 in 75 #28

When G and I met in 1989, I had a cat.  Said cat, aka Little Girl, had been with me since I was 17, and had followed me through college, failed marriage, through 10 moves (often just between apartments) and I loved her very much.  Sadly we lost her in 1994.

I've always loved all animals, but always considered myself a "cat" person until the arrival of the Akitas.  Since 1990, we have had two pairs of Akitas (male and female) we lost our first pair, Ringo and KiKi, at ages 12 and 11, and our current pair, Kota and Jewlz, are now 8 and 6.

This means a lot of vet visits over the years and lots of rabies tags and county licenses.  Well, sentimental type that I am, I've keep most, if not all of these tags over the years.  Here are a few (of the 33).

75 in 75 #26 and #27

Odds and Ends

This jar, bottle, can opener must be very old.  I looked up the Max Huncke Chemical Company and they moved from Brooklyn to Westport CT in 1893.  At which time they became The Embalmers Supply Company.

75 in 75 #21

Work is really busy at the moment, so I'm having to play catch up, just a little.  That's ok though, I really needed a break and this is what I ended up with.

75 in 75 #19 and #20

Another doodle and the base of the Art Deco lamp that we have in our den, the lamp is entirely glass, 5 glass balls surrounding the brass tube through which the electrical wiring runs.

75 sketches 75 days #17 and #18

I've been feeling a little off this weekend.  #18 sums it up rather well.  Did not have the energy to sketch anything so I doodled. I'm trying to draw something every day so keep developing the feel for what I am trying to draw. Hope I feel better soon, don't like feeling this way: anxious, unhappy, worthless *SIGH*

Perspective is difficult

75 sketches 75 days #16

So I worked on my perspective today.  I have tried to draw this table before and really blew the perspective, just like today.

But I didn't give up and tried again.

#3 didn't get as far as #1 and #2, so I didn't even include it - but I think that I got much closer with #4.

What do you think?
